our little trip

Last weekend we headed out on the 25th to Pima / Thatcher area to do a wedding. ON the way we stopped at a little Catholic shrine to do some letterboxing and at Besh Ba Gowah to explore.
I had taken the kids about 8 or 9 years ago on a PLAN field trip and wanted to go back. It is a great deal of fun and you get to climb in and explore. If you are ever headed to Globe area stop by there for an hour or so. It was only $3.00 for anyone over 12. Chaiya and Maliea remembered so much about what we learned there when they were little. It was a testament of how well family-based education works! Our last day in Safford we quickly went hunting down a letterbox before we headed home. The stamp was of the cotton plant and we were only the third person in their notebook.
It was a fairly enjoyable trip. Very nice to travel again. I miss being on the open road.
